Benevolent Society Ball Thursday 3 December 2015

bjgfTickets are selling fast for this year’s benevolent society ball (previously the jewellery & giftware ball) which will be taking place on 3 December at St John’s Hotel, Solihull.

The event is proud to host the national association of jewellers’ membership awards which (following the joining together of the British Jewellers’ Association and the national association of goldsmiths) promises to be even more exciting.
Over 300 guests attended in 2014, and with the number growing year on year, the ball committee has again taken great pains not to increase the price of tickets possible only because of extremely generous sponsorship.

Says David Simons, chairman of the society: “we raised almost £27,500 last year and we hope to increase this. Judging by the number of needy people that we have helped this year we will certainly need this in 2016. The evening will commence with the NEC champagne cocktail reception, and we have a great menu, fantastic entertainment (the beat collective and echoes), portrait photographer, and a few surprises along the way.

This is a charity event, so, of course, there will be some fund-raising activities including the Cooksongold cash prize draw, a fantastic ‘things that money can’t buy’ auction, raffle and a tombola featuring the new and exciting products entered for the gift of the year awards 2015. We aim for a fun-packed, yet sophisticated event and judging by the number of key companies that support us year on year, I think we achieve that.”

Tickets are £858.00 (Inc vat) for a table of twelve (includes one free ticket) or £78.00 (Inc vat) per person. Don‘t worry if you do not need a table for 12. Smaller parties can be catered for and we will always liaise with those on shared tables.
Our grateful thanks to this year’s sponsors: WB The Creative Jewellery Group, The National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham Assay Office, Charles Green, Cooksongold, Continental UK, Diamonds Please, Gemporia, HS Walsh, I2i, TH March & Co Ltd, Birmingham City University And Birmingham Museum, Umicore, Arnold Wills & Co, Ravensden Plc, Lionsorbet, The Drop Forge, Rudell The Jewellers, And Chairman David Simons.
