Spring is the season for awakening your creative energy and offers wonderful subjects such as snowdrops, crocuses and hellebores to paint. Awaken your creative juices by painting some of these gorgeous spring flowers in a still life in watercolour. We will work from a simple still life arrangement.
Age group and abilities to be taught
18 years and above.
Suitable for adults of all ages and abilities including beginners and people looking to refresh their skills.

Morning activity
Introduction
Tutor demonstration
Participants prepare still life
Demonstration – techniques and their application to the subject
Afternoon activity
Brief recap of the morning’s work and its potential
Start painting, continuous one to one tuition
Group critique
Materials and equipment to be brought by participants
Small bunch of snowdrops or a hellebore stem
Suitable small vessel
Watercolour paints
Watercolour brushes, size 4, 6, and/or 8
Putty rubber
HB/2B pencil
Large white dinner plate or palette
Two sheets quarter imperial rough watercolour paper, min. weight 250lb
Masking tape
Cartridge paper for sketching
Large water container
Materials and equipment provided
These will be provided for use during the workshop and are included in the fee. While all this equipment is provided, you may wish to bring your own as well.
