The British Jewellery & Giftware Benevolent Society Ball was attended by over 300 guests at its new venue the Clarendon Suites on Thursday 1st December. This fabulous Black Tie night out which has been growing steadily in popularity over the last few years was a perfect occasion for the Trade to party the night away!
Thanks to a Raffle, Auction and a superb Tombola over £17,000 was raised in just one evening for the Benevolent Society Charity. The Guests were treated to a Champagne Reception sponsored by the NEC Group on arrival, and then enjoyed a superb Dinner followed by Dancing to Johnny & the Zephyrs. David Doyle, former President of The British Jewellery & Giftware Federation, and one of the Organisers of the Event, commented on how grateful he and the Benevolent Committee were to all of the Companies that Sponsor this Event….”there are simply too many Companies to mention but we are extremely grateful to all those Individuals and Companies who support us in so many ways.
We simply could not do the Event without them, and also the many other people who do so much hard work to ensure that this Event is a real success should be thanked too.” Next Year’s Event is also being held at The Clarendon Suites after the success of this year’s Ball and the date is likely to be Thursday 6th December 2012. Definitely a date for your Diary!
