Leading jewellery industry packaging partner and local Birmingham Jewellery Quarter business, Talbots, has announced that it has moved all its sales to an online and next day delivery service as of January 2017.

This innovative new move has been taken due to popular demand from customers and the wider marketplace, and means that Talbots can now service its client base better than it ever has done in its 100-year history.

In addition to a brand new responsive e-commerce website and next day delivery service on Ready Made items, Talbots has also expanded its dedicated Sales Team.

Talbots is a growing business that delivers cutting-edge packaging solutions, stunning products and world-class customer service, and the team are thrilled to now offer much more diverse and effective customer care.

This progressive step has received a fantastic reception and customers are already providing wonderful feedback about the move. The next day delivery service and e-commerce website have in particular been highly praised.

Customers who have in the past used the Pickering and Mayell Talbots store in the Jewellery Quarter are still fully able to buy from Talbots, with all the same benefits and more.

Julie Fowler-Drake, Talbots’ Managing Director.

Julie Fowler-Drake (MD) “We’re looking forward to taking care of the packaging requirements of all Pickering and Mayell customers here in-house at Talbots with our online, email, telephone and next day delivery services.

Any outstanding orders that have been placed directly through the store on Warstone Lane have been transferred to our Sales Team and an individual Account Manager has been assigned to each and every customer”.

Julie continues, “Our online and delivery service provides all the benefits enjoyed from our shop in addition to next day delivery, bespoke packaging, stock checks, order updates and telephone support”. Julie continues, “Talbots is a customer-service focused organisation with an ethos for higher quality, better value packaging. Our proactive move to online and next day delivery means that we’re fully aligned with the changing needs of our customers and will continue to lead the market”.

Talbots is a company steeped in history and Julie is the great grand-daughter of Talbots’ founder. The company has always had an innovative vision for packaging and as the market moves, their forward-thinking steps will place the Birmingham business at the forefront of industry advancement.

In recent years, Talbots has made many big and bold changes which have earned the company Luxury Packaging Award shortlisting’s and preferred supplier partnerships with prominent jewellery industry buying groups including the Company of Master Jewellers, the Retail Jewellers of Ireland, Cash Converters, the National Association of Jewellers and the Houlden Group.

Talbots has a beautiful packaging range which is really changing the face of our industry, both in terms of ambition and design. It’s innovative, on trend and offers fantastic value whilst their bespoke service is perfect for totally unique creations. In fact, the company has its own in-house design studio, with MD Julie designing each and every bespoke project covering everything from concept, branding, shapes, colours and textures.
