Celebrate Christmas with Benton & Johnson

Benton & Johnson, world renowned manufacturer of a wide range of embroidery threads and purls that is wholly owned by Birmingham’s Toye Kenning &Spencer, has developed a series of embroidery kits to celebrate Christmas; an Angel, a Dove and a Snowflake.

Each kit has been designed by Kate Sproston who, after graduating in Textile Design (Embroidery) from Birmingham City University, was featured in 2009 as a graduate to watch by the Embroiderers’ Guild.

Offering some Christmas fun for embroiderers of all skill levels, the kits present a wonderful way for people to add real individuality to their Christmas decorations this year.

Neil Halford, production manager for the weaving department and Benton & Johnson at Toye Kenning & Spencer explained:

“Many people introduce a new decoration to their tree or home every year and nothing could be more personal than embroidering one of these elegant designs from Kate Sproston.

They can be turned into a tree decoration or something to hang from the mantelpiece. We hope to add new designs in 2012 and build a collection people can add to year after year.”

Each kit comprises full instructions and all the materials, including the felt and wadding, required to complete the piece.

The retail prices for the kits are: Angel: £11.98, Dove: £11.30, and Snowflake: £10.79.
