Cookson Precious Metals Launches Beads

Local jewellery making supplier Cookson Precious Metals have added more than 2,500 new beads and beading products to its product range.

Cookson’s is a one-stop shop for jewellery makers and they have upgraded their local trade counter in Vittoria Street, Birmingham and Hatton Garden, London to accommodate this expansion.

The new beads section complements Cookson’s extensive range of jewellery making materials, such as Bullion, precious metal clay, Swarovski crystals, findings and jewellery tools.

The local trade counter now stock semi-precious beads, Preciosa glass beads, Swarovski crystals, Miyuki seed beads to beading books, tools and equipment – allowing creative customers to fashion their own beaded jewellery items such as necklaces or bracelets.

There’s a range of stringing options, including nylon, Tigertail and chain, along with clasps, fasteners, findings and charms.

To accompany the launch, Cookson Beads has created a new email newsletter for customers. Jewellery-making enthusiasts who sign up for the new Bead Mail will receive the latest news about products and promotions from Cookson Beads, plus be entered in to win a Beads Hamper worth £100. This competition is for a limited time only.

Bob Orme, Birmingham trade counter Manager, said the Beads launch would improve design options for jewellery makers: “We’re extremely excited about unveiling the new beads section within our Vittoria Street retail shop – it feels like a natural progression for us. Our customers use our Cookson trade counter for a whole range of jewellery making supplies. Beads were the missing link in our product range.”

Cookson’s are planning to exhibit at two bead exhibitions later this year In the meantime, customers can visit Cookson’s Trade Counter call 0845 100 1122. Open: Mon-Thursday 9am to 4:30pm Friday 9am-3:15pm.
