18th – 30th Dec 2021 12midday and 3.00pm
By Roald Dahl adapted by David Wood.
After his parents are eaten by an escaped rhinoceros during a trip to London, James Henry Trotter is sent to live with his two gruesome aunts, Spiker and Sponge.
They beat James, force him to sleep on the cold wooden floor and refuse to let him play with other children.
But when James accidentally spills a sack of tiny glowing-green crocodile tongues onto a peach tree, it bears the biggest fruit ever seen! Along with an array of enchanted creatures including The Centipede, The Old Green Grasshopper and Miss Spider, James embarks on an adventure that takes him over land and sea and even into the sky!

The Hockley Flyer magazine is entirely funded by the advertising, but could do with a little bit more funding. The advertising not only pays for the design/printing, but also postage, delivery, all the associated paperwork/accounts, and research for the Heritage section. Subscribers pay only a bit more than the postage/mailing costs, and the magazines are free - no cover price.
