he next Betts Metals Jewellery Tools & Technology Demonstration Day is fast approaching. There’s no booking necessary; simply come along to 49-63 Spencer Street on Thursday 8th May from 10 AM to 4 PM to get involved and secure 10% off a range of specialist equipment to elevate your professional practice.
This season’s hands-on event is themed around ‘Precision, Power & Innovation’, focusing on advanced tools like laser welders, plating machines and micro-filing handpieces that enhance your efficiency.
Two external demonstrators will join on the day: Matt Esh, Product Specialist at Freeform Fabrication, and Adrian Stone, Director of Elements, who will highlight the Elements NeedleFlame unit. Of course, the Betts Metal Sales team will also be there to guide you, with Tools and Technology Manager David Hendley highlighting some top equipment to create a cleaner, quieter and more advanced workshop.

Explore the Precision of Gold Plating, Micro Filing, Laser Welding & Platinum Melting – LIVE!
Throughout the day, there will be spotlights on different facets of jewellery-making and sharing expert tips that can improve your production, repair and finishing processes. New for 2025 is a gold and rhodium plating demo designed to make your activities simpler and safer. Don’t miss live demonstrations of the Legor 6-Tank Plating Machine, which is ideal for both mass production and individual jewellery plating. This device contains six 2-litre tanks, three heated tanks with agitation for hard gold plating, and a beginner-friendly step-by-step process, plus automated timers and voltage synchronisation to prevent overexposure and overplating.
Another big focus for Betts Metal Sales in 2025 is their unrivalled range of advanced micro-filing and precision hand tools. Many of these will be demonstrated on May 8, including the latest handpieces from Badeco and Foredom-compatible tools. “We will highlight how these useful tools are ideally designed for detailed and delicate work, improving your precision and upping efficiency.”
Popular demonstrations from previous events will also be back by popular demand. Get hands-on with the Onyx Welder and another high-performance laser welder to see how your repairs and joins may benefit. You can also explore the Elements NeedleFlame Welder, which incorporates the latest in platinum melting technology and eliminates the need for external gas bottles.
