Livto Represent JQ at Birmingham Fashion Week

Saturday 1st March saw Birmingham come to life as designers from all over the world showcased their latest collections at Birmingham International Fashion Week and the Jewellery Quarter’s own designers were there to represent the community.

Kate Lewis and Gemma Perry from Livto, based on Warstone Lane were approached by two fashion designers to showcase their work on the models for the event.

The night kicked off with Nigerian designer Rad fashion, whose exotic clothes were complemented by Livto’s raw, handmade bracelets and necklaces.

Livto’s PR Director Kate Lewis attended the event with Livto’s Designer Gemma Perry.

“It was great to see Birmingham City Council put on an event that recognises new and upcoming talent, both on a local and international level,” said Kate.

“We were thrilled when the designers got in touch and it was really rewarding to see our hard work pay off down the catwalk.”

Textures, a label based in Paris also featured Livto’s products. The two night event, located in the Council House Banqueting Suite saw the catwalk show take place as well as an open showroom, a champagne reception, a networking event and an after-party for the designers.

Livto’s Gemma Perry thoroughly enjoyed the event and was excited by the networking opportunity: “The evening was a great chance to network with other businesses and to tell people about our new shop in the Jewellery Quarter.

We look forward to seeing what the rest of 2014 will bring for the Livto brand.”
