The Coffin Works are proud to announce the launch of their brand-new permanent exhibition. From the 5th November, 2016 visitors will be able to take in the Newman Brothers’ Trade Show exhibition as part of the regular tour.
This wonderful space recreates the 1950 trade show that Newman Brothers attended with a vast array of their exceptional wares.
Visitors will be able to see the products, learn how they were made and get up close to the designs that made Newman’s a by-word for quality.
This new exhibition will add a new dimension to their tours and give visitors a real insight into the development of the company.
Rolling out The Barrels!
Launched on 5th November is their newly restored and working barrelling shop! Thanks to funding from AIM and The Pilgrims Trust, and with the aid of Ian Clarke Restoration and the kind sponsorship of ERIKS Careers (http://careers.eriks.co.uk/) they have been able to clear the space, restore the barrels and install the technology that means the barrels turn once more and can be demonstrated on all their tours.
Closed for Christmas!
This year, the Coffin Works will close for the Christmas holidays on 10th December.
As has become tradition, on the 10th December, they will be doing it in style with the aid of a local choir for a Christmas sing-a-long, accompanied by mulled wine and mince pies, and a barrelling shop demonstration.
