George Myers of Rugby has been making a weekly trip to the Cookson Trade Counter in Vittoria Street for over 40 years!
During a recent visit he was surprised by Julie Rogers, Cooksons new Trade Counter Manager and Asa Harrison Sales Director, who presented him with a long service award in the form of a bottle of Champagne.
Asa recalled serving George when he joined the company 34 years ago and claimed that neither he nor George looked a day older!
Julie Rogers has recently joined the Cookson team after a long career in the Jewellery Quarter working for a number of bullion dealers such as Engelhard and Betts Metal Sales.
Julie added that she was looking forward to welcoming customers to the Cookson Counter; not only Cookson regulars like George, but also new customers who are visiting in response to the decision to bring back Gold Silver & Platinum into the Counter area – part of the ‘prepare your order whilst you wait’ service.
