The NAJ Education Trust provides a vital helping hand for businesses and individuals to access routes into jewellery education. This year, that support extends to an initiative to get more new businesses involved in JET education and training.
Since 1994, the NAJ Education Trust has supported individuals in the jewellery industry with financial aid through scholarships, awards, and assistance with training and work experience. The goal is to help these individuals access formal education and improve their career prospects.
To open up more routes and opportunities, the NAJ Education Trust is offering businesses a chance to save nearly £200 by covering 25% of the JET1 or JET2 course fee. This offer is available to National Association of Jewellers members who have never registered their employees for either course.
The initiative will encourage more businesses to discover the benefit of educating their retail staff. The industry-recognised, nationally accredited JET1 and JET2 courses provide jewellery retail staff with a thorough knowledge of jewellery products and manufacturing techniques, giving them the tools to advise customers more effectively. The JET 1 is ideal for employees who are at the start of their jewellery journey, having recently joined the team or looking to build foundational knowledge. The JET 2 qualification supports the development and confidence of a team member ready for the next step in their career.
Funding for the NAJ Education Trust comes from generous membership subscriptions and other charitable fundraisers.
