The staff of Warstone Lane Post Office have been presented with ‘Best Performing Office for Mail 2010/2011’.
This distinction is well deserved because during all the years they have been there, the staff always greet their customers with a smile and are very helpful if you have a problem.
Also you never have to wait longer than necessary to be served.
The Hockley Flyer magazine is entirely funded by the advertising, but could do with a little bit more funding. The advertising not only pays for the design/printing, but also postage, delivery, all the associated paperwork/accounts, and research for the Heritage section. Subscribers pay only a bit more than the postage/mailing costs, and the magazines are free - no cover price.
