Daisy Grace to ‘SHINE’

Birmingham based, award winning jewellery designer maker and school of jewellery alumni Daisy Grice of Daisy Grice Jewellery has been chosen as one of eleven designer makers hand-selected to take part in Shine 2020, the Goldsmiths’ Centre’s annual new talent selling showcase of jewellery and silversmithing.

Shine is a celebration of up and coming designer makers from across the UK and this year, the exhibition is a digital-only event, in response to the changed circumstances and consumer patterns. Each maker not only gets the chance to sell their work, but they will also be supported through an intensive online skills training program, delivered by the Goldsmiths Centre.

The showcase opens on the 17th September with a press and buyers preview and will then be open to the public 18th September – 22nd December 2020. Alongside the showcase there will also be online Meet the Maker events.

Daisy will be showcasing her dark style ‘Twisted Tales’ collection which she creates by the fusion of traditional bench skills and modern technology, combining highly polished sterling silver, laser sintered nylon and black diamonds.

Daisy says “I am thrilled to have been selected as one of 2020’s Shine designer makers. Now more than ever emerging designers need the support of the jewellery industry and this is an amazing opportunity, giving me the chance, to not only be part of an online showcase of UK talent but also learn from experts in their field to build on my current knowledge and refine my online marketing and selling techniques.”
