The Jewellery Quarter Marketing Initiative recently teamed up with the Sunday Mercury to run a competition to find the region’s female and male Top Model who could also become the face(s) of the Quarter.
The winners in this hotly contested competition were Emma Larkin from Walsall and Toby Brown from Coventry.
Anna Gibson, the Jewellery Quarter Marketing Initiative Manager, said: “We’ve struck up excellent relationships with the local media and when I approached the Sunday Mercury with the idea of the Competition they were very keen to be involved.
The idea partly stemmed from our proposals for a new Tourism Guide and the need to refresh it with a new front cover … that’s where the models can help by showcasing some jewellery!
We secured thousands of pounds worth of free publicity for the Quarter as there was a special section in the Sunday Mercury’s new colour supplement over a period of 6 weeks.
I would particularly like to thank Alan Sharman Model Agency, Wannabe Workshops, Oakes Photography, Harris & Gibbs, Crystalink Jewellery, Mia Sposa and The Drop Forge Restaurant & Bar for their invaluable support.”
