Four Craft & Design Council Awards for WB The Creative Jewellery Group

L to R: Prize winners Sarah Phillips, Joanna Fronczak-Jabbal and Siobhan Maher

Four very different employees from companies within WB The Creative Jewellery Group, each with their own particular skill set, have won recognition in the Goldsmiths’ Craft & Design Council Awards 2014 which were announced recently.

Joanna Fronczak-Jabbal a CAD Designer at Weston Beamor won the Gemmological Association of Great Britain Award for her ‘Reign of Stones’ necklace.

Paul Brookes a goldsmith working for Weston Beamor won the Silver Award for ‘Polishers: Jewellery and Silversmithing” for his work on the ‘Hidden Treasures’ ring.

This ring was designed by Weston Beamor’s CAD Designer Sarah Phillips for whom it gained a commendation in the ‘Technological Innovation Award 3D’.

Domino designer Siobhan Maher also gained a commendation for her ‘Fleurs du Mal’ pearl choker design in the ‘2D Design Pearl Jewellery Section’.

Speaking about his employees’ success, the Group’s Managing Director Andrew Morton said, “As a long-standing supporter of these Awards, craft and design are at the heart of our company’s ethos and it is tremendously encouraging to see so many of our staff gaining external recognition for their undoubted skills.

These are the unsung heroes of the jewellery industry whose hard work and dedication allows the companies such as Domino and Weston Beamor for whom they work, to deliver a top class product and service to retailers countrywide. I am very proud of them all.”
