The newest Secondary School – Perry Beeches IV – has opened in the Jewellery Quarter. It is based in the old Swan Kettle works in Albion Street.
At the official opening the school were delighted to be joined by some key Birmingham celebrities including Jasper Carrot, Nick Owen, and Rustie Lee. The school is already massively oversubscribed.
Russell Bond, the Head teacher said: “I am delighted to have a school in the Jewellery Quarter, it is such a vibrant part of our city, and I am really looking forward to working with this community.’’
Perry Beeches II:
Perry Beeches II has begun its third year on Newhall Street and has now had its first set of A Level results. Jackie Powell, Executive Head teacher told The Hockley Flyer, “We are thrilled that every single one of our Year 13 students successfully obtained a place at University. This is a fantastic achievement and is a credit to the hard work of our students and staff.”
