Re-opening soon!

Work is progressing well on redeveloping the Lock-up Museum and are training their huge new team of volunteers and the displays are now starting to be installed ready for the opening. A spokesperson said, “We have also relocated our collection and office from Sparkhill into the Lock-up as part of a move to our new permanent home on Steelhouse Lane.”

“We aim to re-open at the beginning of the Easter Holidays on 9th April. We will have a new website launching in a couple of weeks which will include a page to book tickets. With loads of new displays, lots of exhibits on show, interactives, and activity trails for kids – there is something for everyone!”

The Hockley Flyer magazine is entirely funded by the advertising, but could do with a little bit more funding. The advertising not only pays for the design/printing, but also postage, delivery, all the associated paperwork/accounts, and research for the Heritage section. Subscribers pay only a bit more than the postage/mailing costs, and the magazines are free - no cover price.
