The use of Lasers for Jewellery manufacture and repair continues to be an area of significant growth due to the precision, performance, quality and finish which can be achieved from the technology. The latest Laser technology from Rofin-Baasel offers products and solutions to a diverse range of jewellery applications.
The new Performance from ROFIN features an entirely re-designed housing with a novel working chamber access concept, as well as many innovative weld-assist systems such as SPEEDmode, BURSTmode and Pulse Ramping.
Despite the already extensive capabilities of manual laser welding, there is always room for further improvement. Naturally, the laser welding process itself is subject to constant optimization, but the real goal is improving user-friendliness and streamlining working processes. ROFIN – pioneer and market leader for manual laser welding systems – closely monitored how people work and based upon this evaluation, redesigned the new performance almost from scratch.
The new Performance laser will weld platinum, gold, silver, stainless steel and titanium, together with other metals and alloys. A laser weld is strong and pure even in areas where it would be hard to gain access through any other joining technique. More often than not if you can see the joint you can weld it.
Visitors to the Rofin stand will see how the new Performance can simplify and speed-up everyday work.
Also on show at this year’s Spring Fair will be examples of Rofin’s Desktop Laser Welding System and EasyJewel Laser Marking System. With over 30,000 systems installed worldwide, Rofin has dedicated itself to becoming the leading manufacturer of lasers and laser based solutions for marking, welding and materials processing across a wide range of industries.
Rofin-Baasel UK Limited can be found in Hall 18 – Stand Number M75 at the Spring Fair Exhibition, NEC in Birmingham from 5th to 9th February 2012, where company representatives will be available throughout the show.
