In 2015, Manish ‘Sonny’ Jogia opened his first jewellery retail store which in now known as Sonny’s Jewellers. Sonny has the jewellery business flowing in his veins. His grandfather and father came over from Uganda in 1962 and started their own British jewellery journey. From childhood, Sonny studied the art of jewellery manufacture from his father and the skills of retail sales from his uncle.
Sonny’s started out as a brother-and-sister team and in 6 short years they have grown to be a team of 25! In those 6 years Sonny’s dream, vision, and passion has always been to be the best in the Jewellery Quarter. Little did he know, the store would be voted ‘UK’s Retail Sales Team of the Year’ at the UK Jewellery Awards 2021.
To be the best Sonny’s focused on his 3 P’s:
Products – They carry one of the widest ranges of jewellery, available immediately in the Jewellery Quarter.
People – Using the knowledge and expertise of its highly skilled diamond experts, gemmologists, designers, and goldsmiths, Sonny’s offer a completely bespoke service that takes the clients ideas from concept to reality.
Passion – Everything they do is centred around the customer experience.
Sonny’s understands that they cannot be everything to everyone and nor do they want to be but if someone cannot get what they want at Sonny’s, they will go all out to introduce them to someone who might be able to help them – it is all part of the Sonny’s experience.
The UK’s Retail Sales Team of the Year category had numerous entries of which seven made the shortlist and Sonny’s Jewellers won. They were praised by the UK Jewellery Awards’ expert judging panel for their sales team’s unwavering commitment to the business and its customers. The panel came from a raft of this country’s leading jewellery brands and suppliers. Between them they had well over two hundred years of jewellery industry experience.
“The companies we celebrated at this year’s UK Jewellery Awards from across all areas of the industry and the supply chain must be applauded as the leading lights in our sector. So, to all our finalists and winners. Congratulations, they really are the very best in the business.” Ruth Faulkner, Editor Retail Jeweller.
