A clock design that has lasted for the past 123 years speaks volumes for the cutting edge design from 1880 that still looks fresh and elegant today.
The clock is the ‘Vienna’ and the clockmaker making this stunning original design is Comitti of London.
Like the ‘Vienna’ Comitti also has a long and proud history.
Comitti has been making barometers and clocks since the company was established in 1850. Not only does the Vienna evoke an age of elegance and sophistication, it goes without saying that it also keeps accurate time!
The Vienna is a rare example of a floor-standing regulator. The beautiful walnut case features book-matched burr and figured veneers inlaid with satinwood edge-line.
The temperature compensated pendulum – the heartbeat of this superb piece – has precision adjustment. The genuine enamel dial features hand milled Bregeut hands.
The base features a large drawer and turned bun feet. The effect is stunning.
Adding to its charm the ‘Vienna’ also has an enchanting chime with automatic night silencer. In addition it also has a chime sequence correction and automatic beat setting.
The clock is further enhanced by its stylish finish.
Bevelled glass is on all sides, while the solid brass fittings add to the lustrous finish. The recommended retail price of the Vienna is £3,450.
