This vital life-saving equipment is now visible and accessible to the West Midlands Ambulance Service, ensuring rapid response capabilities in the event of a cardiac emergency.

Cardiac arrest can happen without warning, and immediate access to a defibrillator can significantly increase the chances of survival. According to the British Heart Foundation, the use of a defibrillator within the first few minutes of a cardiac arrest can double the survival rate. By installing this device in a prominent and accessible location, Betts aim to provide essential support in critical situations, potentially saving lives.

The defibrillator is located on the side of our building at Spencer Street, ensuring it is easily accessible for anyone in the vicinity. Betts have collaborated with the West Midlands Ambulance Service to ensure they are aware of the device’s location, enabling swift action in case of an emergency. To ever use a defibrillator, you are given the access code by the 999 operators.
Everyone in the community should familiarise themselves with the location of the defibrillator and to remember its presence as a critical resource in the event of a cardiac emergency.
