The Jewellery Quarter’s Gem of Information

Mary Bradley, the Jewellery Quarter’s Information Centre Assistant, attended the City Council’s prestigious Chamberlain Awards at the ICC as she had been shortlisted for the ‘Customer Focus’ Award.

In the face of tough competition, she won the Category and Councillor Alan Rudge, Cabinet member for Equalities & Human Resources, presented her with a beautiful ‘star shaped’ trophy fittingly made by BDG, one of the Quarter’s most prestigious manufacturers, who were commissioned to make all the awards.

There are over 20,000 City Council employees and only 5 individual awards which makes Mary’s achievement all the more remarkable.

Andy Munro Operations Director for the Jewellery Quarter Regeneration Team said, “Mary is a great ambassador for the Quarter and provides a quality service even when the Information Centre is really busy.

It now attracts around 400 visitors a week and is becoming an important ‘front line’ in our drive to make the Quarter attractive to visitors.”

The advertising not only pays for the design/printing, but also postage, delivery, all the associated paperwork/accounts, and research for the Heritage section. Our subscribers pay only a bit more then the postage/mailing costs, and the magazines are free - no cover price.
