WB The Creative Jewellery Group increases its European Presence

WB The Creative Jewellery Group, one of the UK’s leading jewellery and jewellery component producers, has announced that it is to have a larger and more prominently-sited presence at BaselWorld 2014 where Domino, the Group’s fine jewellery and jewellery component business, will be joined for the first time by the award winning jewellery supplier Gecko, renowned for its branded and in-house costume, silver and gold collections.

The Group’s eye-catching new stand will still be found in Hall 2.1 – Hall of Visions – but has moved to stand K91 where it will now occupy a spacious 77 sq metres.

Domino, which has appeared at the show regularly during recent years, has made strong in-roads into the European precious jewellery market and the Group’s directors believe that Gecko can also achieve excellent sales amongst the European and global retailers who visit Basel looking for stylish silver, gold and fashion jewellery designs.

The increased investment by WB The Creative Jewellery Group at BaselWorld underscores The Group’s strong commitment to growing further its export activities. Domino already employs a full-time European representative, who is based in France, and also has a representative in Australia.

“We are delighted with our new position within the exhibition and much welcome the increased floor space the expanded stand provides.

As well as showing our extensive platinum bridal collections we shall use Basel 2014 to showcase a number of brand-new, predominantly British-made ranges, including some stylish diamond neckwear and earrings, not previously exhibited in Europe,” says sales and marketing manager Andrew Sollitt.

Take up in Europe for Domino’s Diamond Ring Mounts range and for its Rosabella Collection of finished diamond jewellery has been particularly pleasing and Sollitt is confident that as overseas retailers become more familiar with the brand and with the excellence of the service and products it offers, sales will grow further.” Sollitt concluded.

Speaking for Gecko, Co-Head of Design Hannah Trickett said, “We are thrilled to be back at Basel after a long break… we love this show and are eager to showcase our successful brands Fiorelli, Fred Bennett, and D for diamond for further presence and recognition in Europe.

All of our new spring collections will be unveiled, including the brand new men’s watches from Fred Bennett, whimsical themed children’s keepsakes from D for diamond and contemporary silver and fashion jewellery from Fiorelli – just a selection among many to excite retailers everywhere.“

Vicky Leyshon, Co-Head of Design at Gecko also adds, “As we will also be showcasing our house brands Elements Silver and Elements Gold, we are looking forward to the opportunity to show international buyers the fabulous variety of both trend-led and classic ranges, in sterling silver or 9ct gold, which we design and select here in London. With both collections encompassing affordable prices, we hope to attract many new retailers.”
