Two well known figures in the Jewellery Quarter, Geoff Field and Maggie Nichols, have announced their engagement and are set to marry in May 2009.
Geoff is Chief Executive of the British Jewellers’ Association and Maggie is Managing Director of Sutton Tools. Many will know that both lost their partners in 2007.
Geoff said: “Maggie and I are incredibly happy to have found each other and look forward to a new life together.”
2009 will be a double celebration for Maggie as her company, Sutton Tools, reaches its 125th anniversary.
Established in 1884 by Maggie’s great grandfather, Thomas Sutton, the company is one of the longest serving suppliers to the jewellery industry.
Now based in Vittoria Street, opposite the School of Jewellery, Suttons supply traditional tools alongside the very latest technology and recently introduced a bullion range.
