A Touch of Glass!

The Jewellery Quarter is rapidly transforming into a vibrant cosmopolitan centre for design with many of the city’s architectural and interior design practices moving to this conservation area.

It was this sense of a creative community that prompted Glassdomain to completely renovate an old press works turning into a sumptuous 3000 sq.ft showroom. The gallery style showroom will display not only their unique glass furniture but also pieces by other internationally famous designers.

Philippe Starck’s iconic Caardre mirror and Fiam’s famous Ghost chair will be amongst the products on display.

Glassdomain’s exclusive ICON digitally printed glass will also be on show. ICON uses digital images to form dramatic wall coverings on glass which can be used as wall art as well as providing spectacular solutions for wet rooms and showers, whilst seen as an alternative to conventional tiling.

The showroom will also feature the very first heated glass wall – a combination of futuristic technologies that will provide practical solutions for heating contemporary spaces.

The new showroom, on the corner of Warstone Lane and Spencer Street, is due to open in March.

The Hockley Flyer magazine if entirely funded by the advertising, but we could always do with a little bit more funding. The advertising not only pays for the design/printing, but also postage, delivery, all the associated paperwork/accounts, and research for the Heritage section. Our subscribers pay only a bit more then the postage/mailing costs, and the magazines are free - no cover price.
