Christmas Decorations 2002

Ken Schofield (Chairman JQA Tourism Committee) decided it was time to ‘light up’ the Jewellery Quarter for Christmas (last year’s effort was poor) so, together with members of the Jewellery Quarter Urban Village Regeneration Partnership, they went around knocking on doors, persuading people to part with some of their cash to sponsor ‘lights on lampposts’.

The end result was super and far outshone the City Centre Christmas lights!

Ken says he hopes to do even better next year and intends to start earlier as he ran out of time in the end.
