As CIBJO’s National Association representative for the United Kingdom, the NAJ will attend the five-day event from the 1st to the 5th of October 2023.
CIBJO’s annual Congress brings together its international members (including National Associations, International Associations and Commercial Members) to attend the General Assembly and sector commission meetings.
Sector commissions are focused on specific topics of interest, including diamonds, coloured stones, pearls, precious metals, coral, ethics, marketing and education, and responsible sourcing. Congress includes additions and amendments to the Blue Books and reporting upon the ongoing cooperation with the United Nations and its development programme.
The 2023 Congress will again provide a venue for all the various sectors of this far-flung industry to come together and discuss issues of common interest and concern. UK representation will include the National Association of Jewellers, The Gemmological Association of Great Britain, Birmingham Assay Office, London Diamond Bourse, Natural Diamond Council, and International Grown Diamond Association.
NAJ members are warmly invited to attend the event, take advantage of the reduced fee available (not including accommodation), and participate in some buying and trade visits to the local area to see gemstone dealers and cutters.
