The “fiendishly talented” Greg Koch is a guitar player’s guitarist, over from the US for a short club tour.

Mascot Label Group / Players Club recording artists, KOCH-MARSHALL TRIO, consists of Greg, his son Dylan Koch on drums and Hammond B3 specialist Toby Lee Marshall. At the heart of this organ trio is a blues sensibility and Koch’s compositions are an amalgam of rock, funk, jazz and country. Served up with heavy grooves and dynamic improvisations and delivered with no small dose of humour and occasional wild abandon!

The evening is a treat for all lovers of the Blues and really is a “must see”!

The Christians burst into the scene in 1987 with their debut multi-Platinum selling album THE CHRISTIANS containing 7 singles and making No 2 in the album charts! Birmingham-based Danni Mayers is a gifted and versatile vocalist who has performed and recorded with a variety of international artists from reggae legends such as Sugar Minott, Susan Cadogan and Tippa Irie to UK Soul legends Loose Ends and Omar to urban dance act Backyard Dog.

With over 20 years performance experience, Danni has now stepped to the front to focus on her music. Her influences include Dennis Brown, Luciano, Garnett Silk, Jah Cure, Lauryn Hill, Mariah Carey, Jean Carne, Mary J Blige, Chaka Khan and Lalah Hathaway.

Often referred to as “the UK’s best kept secret”, Danni mixes Reggae, RnB and Gospel to create a unique sound, delivering passionate vocals and weaving soulful melodies that you can’t help humming along to.

The “ACOUSTICS SESSIONS” is a monthly showcase of new talent and unsigned artistes, regularly featuring touring performers as well as musicians from the local scene.

The night is presented by the talented singer-songwriter, Ben Drummond, and performing with Ben on this night are a collection of some of the best new talent to be found in and around Birmingham.
