A stage-by-stage instruction on loose watercolour technique. Suitable for artists with some experience of the medium. Further your watercolour skills and learn tips and techniques to improve your work.
Age group and abilities to be taught
18 years and above.
Suitable for those with some watercolour experience.
Course aims and skills/knowledge to be taught
The application of watercolour medium, with an emphasis on the consistency and control of the pigment.
Attention to brushwork and drawing skills.
Course outline
Students will follow a stage-by-stage demonstration with collective and one to one input.
Materials and equipment to be brought by participants
Good quality watercolour paints
Selection of brushes including No10 and either a mop or a flat wash brush
Tape, to tape the paper to a board
Pencil B/2B or similar
Eraser
Materials and equipment provided
These will be provided for use during the workshop and are included in the fee. While all this equipment is provided, you may wish to bring your own as well.

Methods of assessing outcomes
Continual one to one assessment.
