On 20th September the Institution of the Rev’d Mary Gilbert as vicar of St Paul’s Church was carried out by the Rt Rev’d David Urquhart, Bishop of Birmingham and the Induction by the Rev’d Dr Andrew Lenox-Conyngham, Area Dean of the Central Birmingham Deanery.
The audience included Birmingham’s Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress and many of Mary’s friends from all over the country. A buffet supper followed and was enjoyed by all.
Mary tells us that she is looking forward to meeting ‘everyone’ in the Quarter and will be joining the JQA Executive Committee.
