Partial Building Collapse

In the gales of the 23rd February the roof and front wall of the building in the corner of Hylton Street came crashing down (caught on CCTV).

Fortunately, no-one was hurt. This building has been derelict after a fire many years ago, and no planning agreement could be found regarding rebuilding it – so perhaps something will now be done?

The Hockley Flyer magazine is entirely funded by the advertising, but could do with a little bit more funding. The advertising not only pays for the design/printing, but also postage, delivery, all the associated paperwork/accounts, and research for the Heritage section. Subscribers pay only a bit more than the postage/mailing costs, and the magazines are free - no cover price.
