Popular AnchorCert ‘Mini Report’

The AnchorCert Mini Report is now well established and the advantages of having an assessment on a mounted stone are being recognised by more sectors of the industry. Gemset jewellery is still popular and, with more than 70% of jewellery being manufactured abroad, AnchorCert Mini Reports on Diamond and on Tanzanite set jewellery are increasingly in demand.

The service is also used regularly by those selling antique or second hand jewellery because they recognise that there are some items that benefit from being sold with an independent assessment of the stones.

Disturbing a stone in a beautiful old setting can be risky because it could destroy the provenance of the piece. However, AnchorCert diamond graders are highly experienced in assessing mounted goods and an AnchorCert Mini report provides an unbiased and expert opinion of the quality of the diamond. This in turn can be used to offer additional reassurance to the customer.

One of Birmingham’s best known jewellers Rex Johnson & Sons has been using the service for a while. “We like to have an AnchorCert assessment on important pieces,” says David Johnson, “It adds authority and credibility to our description of the piece and this inevitably means it will sell for a higher price.”
