The Golden Square – Public Art Concepts Exhibition

Local artists have been invited to submit their concept designs for public art on the Golden square project.

Before a decision is made on which design is selected for further development, the City Council would like to receive the community’s views and comments.

The concept designs will be exhibited in two locations the week commencing 27th June 2011; Frederick’s cafe on Monday to Wednesday and the Big Peg reception on Thursday and Friday.

There will be response sheets at each location but comments can also be posted on the Big City Plan web site http://bigcityplan.birmingham.gov.uk. Make sure you go along and take a look!

The Hockley Flyer magazine if entirely funded by the advertising, but we could always do with a little bit more funding. The advertising not only pays for the design/printing, but also postage, delivery, all the associated paperwork/accounts, and research for the Heritage section. Our subscribers pay only a bit more then the postage/mailing costs, and the magazines are free - no cover price.
