Working Smarter Pays Off!

Colin Alford presents a Kodak Easyshare digital camera to Jeremy Clifton-Gould at the Work Smarter road show.

Having taken a decision to ‘work smarter’, Jeremy Clifton-Gould, visited the stand of Jewellery-Quarter based, Colin Alford Photo Labs at Kodak’s Work Smarter Road Show, and went away with a free digital camera.

The company was flying the Birmingham flag at two national events held at Coventry and Bristol. The prize of a compact Kodak digital camera was drawn after the second road show at Bristol. Two other lucky delegates, Peter Webb of Hitchin and Mark Philpott of Chippenham each won a 30″x24″ mounted and sealed, display print from an image of their choice.

Colin Alford Photographic Laboratories Ltd have an enviable reputation for a service of quality and reliability, backed by a policy of employing the latest and best technology, enabling them to provide the services required by today’s photographers. Being innovators in employing digital technology the company was amongst the earliest installations of Lambda large format photographic imaging in the UK. Recent decisions to install further digital-imaging facilities now enables clients to have smaller size, real photographic prints, made from files in addition to negatives or transparencies, of a high quality and at competitive prices.

Phil Briggs, Sales and Marketing Manager comments: “Whereas in times past, being geographically close to the lab – based in the heart of the Quarter, meant a photographer could easily call in to leave his images for printing, modern internet technology now means that the lab’s clients could literally be anywhere on the planet and virtually instantly get images into the lab’s system for printing as real photo prints – whatever the time of day, regardless of the lab’s opening hours. The revolution in digital imaging opens new avenues for many companies, our services are ideal for PR or marketing use, a great way to acquire quality photo prints for press release and direct mail, all available quickly and at great prices.”

To make this even easier Colin Alford’s now offer PhotoPro-net – the easy, quick and economical choice for photographers to order real photo prints. The software for this service is available free of charge and will run on a PC, simply contact the lab now and a CD will be on its way to you.

The Hockley Flyer magazine if entirely funded by the advertising, but we could always do with a little bit more funding. The advertising not only pays for the design/printing, but also postage, delivery, all the associated paperwork/accounts, and research for the Heritage section. Our subscribers pay only a bit more then the postage/mailing costs, and the magazines are free - no cover price.
