Time Drift

Frank B Scragg & Company of Vittoria Street have found it necessary to send the following letter to the Birmingham City Council:

‘re Chamberlain Clock.
You will no doubt recall that we have written to you several times about different malfunctions with the Chamberlain Clock.
We shall be pleased to receive your comments on the current problems listed below:
1 The four lamps come on about 1.20pm each day.
2. The Clock gives the correct time but it strikes two minutes before the hour.’Action please!!
