Ben Massey has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of the National Association of Jewellers (NAJ), with the announcement being made at this year’s NAJ Summit.
Ben Massey’s appointment comes after sustained growth for the Association across membership and its education offering. Ben transitioned to Principal Officer last year, helping lead the NAJ’s Senior Management Team, building stronger links within industry and in government and ensuring the effective implementation of the Association’s strategy. He now becomes CEO with immediate effect.
NAJ President Gary Wroe welcomes the appointment, “I would like to express my gratitude to Ben on behalf of the National Committee for his dedication and hard work during the recent structural and strategic changes.
His contribution has been vital to the Association’s progress and accomplishments. The committee fully trusts that he will continue to lead us towards further growth and success.”
Heather Callaway, NAJ Chair, showed gratitude for Ben Massey’s ongoing work with the Association, “Ben has been an integral part of Team NAJ since he joined in 2019, and we are thrilled to have him step into this new role. Ben’s dedication to the industry and tireless work ethic have been instrumental in his rise to this position. Through his leadership and guidance, he has continuously strived to bring out the best in his team and the Association as a whole.”
NAJ Past President David Doyle who worked closely with Ben as Principal Officer shared his thoughts, “I have had the pleasure of working closely with Ben for the past four years and witnessed his growth within the Association. He greatly understands what our members and industry require from their trade association while demonstrating determination and skill in meeting those needs. I congratulate Ben on his new appointment and look forward to seeing the NAJ progress under his stewardship.”
Newly appointed CEO Ben Massey states, “I am grateful for the opportunity to become the Chief Executive Officer of the NAJ and continue to implement our strategy, which aims to deliver better business for our members, for their people and for the Association as the trade body for the professional jewellery industry.
“It is important we work collaboratively as a trade to overcome the known, and indeed the not yet known, challenges and that we also realise the opportunities that exist within the domestic and international markets. I appreciate the National Committee’s trust in me to lead Team NAJ to support our members and to represent and positively impact the fantastic industry.”
