EasyMark – ROFINs New Versatile Desktop Laser Marker

ROFIN’s new EasyMark stands out due to its versatility and modularity. The compact laser marking system with its modular design can be operated as laser class 1 and IV system by removing side panels and can easily be integrated into production lines. Latest diode-pumped or fiber laser technology and powerful software makes it the ideal all-in-one laser marking system for a wide variety of applications.

Modular and flexible – ROFIN’s new desktop laser EasyMark marker realizes an innovative approach. The supply control unit and the working chamber are designed as separate modules. This provides maximum flexibility for assembling optimum system setups for each individual application.

With the new EasyMark, ROFIN-BAASEL offers a solution, which easily integrates into a variety of manufacturing environments. The system not only handles standard applications with manual part placement and removal but also semi or fully-automated production lines. Metals or polymers, flat or cylindrical parts, standard marking tasks or graphical content, mobile or stationary use: the new EasyMark IV does it all.

Without the laser class I enclosure, the EasyMark becomes an open laser class IV marking module with unlimited integration freedom. The side panels can easily be removed to accommodate long and bulky work pieces. It becomes perfectly suited for use with automatic part feeding solutions such as conveyors.

The lifting door provides easy access to the entire working chamber. When the door is closed, the process can be monitored from the large inspection window. The system is combined with a camera and pilot laser for exact part positioning within the 120mm² marking area (optionally 180mm²).

The EasyMark comes with a programmable z-axis and can be equipped (optionally) with a rotary axis. Additional options like the Through-the-Lens (TTL) camera, automatic door, or foot switch help set up customer-tailored solutions.

Depending on customer requirements, the EasyMark is powered by PowerLine F fiber lasers with 20, 30 or 50 W or with the diode end-pumped PowerLine E 10. All laser sources are air-cooled and designed for continuous industrial operation. The system requires only a standard, single-phased power supply.

With ‘Visual Laser-Marker (VLM)’ a modern, powerful laser software, designing and transferring of marking layouts is a breeze. It offers a comprehensive range of marking functions, fonts, and pre-defined laser setups.

The EasyMark is a smart, all-in-one laser marking system. The standard configuration comes with a Laptop (WINDOWS 7), VLM software, programmable z-axis, pilot laser, and camera observation. It will be available in October 2012.
