Temporary Opening Times at Hockley Mint COVID-19

Hockley Mint has reopened its factory with minimal staff, as of 13th April carefully adhering to strict safety guidance, for two days a week on Monday and Tuesday.

Gary Wroe, managing director of Hockley Mint, is keen to stress the safety and wellbeing of Hockley Mint’s staff is his main priority.

After careful planning and consideration, Hockley Mint is now open and fully operational for two days a week on Mondays and Tuesdays. The safety and wellbeing of our staff is paramount, which is why we are operating with a skeleton staff, with someone in each department.

We understand the crucial importance of constant communication with our staff. We are committed to ensuring they feel comfortable and safe at work, while also catching up with our loyal team who are isolating at home. We know that this is a tough time for everyone and we are doing our best to maintain the health and safety of our team while helping our customers with their orders.

Government guidance is such that, while non-essential retail businesses have been forced to close, other businesses (e.g. manufacturing businesses) should keep operating if they can do so safely.

The Government has said that the workers who are ‘essential’ to the running of those businesses can go into work if they cannot fulfil their work from home and can do so safely.’

The Hockley Flyer magazine if entirely funded by the advertising, but we could always do with a little bit more funding. The advertising not only pays for the design/printing, but also postage, delivery, all the associated paperwork/accounts, and research for the Heritage section. Our subscribers pay only a bit more then the postage/mailing costs, and the magazines are free - no cover price.
