On two occasions during her campaign to become the first West Midlands Lord Mayor, Lib. Dem Candidate Beverley Neilson visited Mark and Marie Haddleton (The Hockley Flyer & Jewellery Quarter Heritage) at their ‘Home Office’ at Great Barr, together with Dr. Steve McCabe from The Institute of Design & Economic Acceleration (Birmingham City University).
Beverley was particularly interested in the history and the future of the Trade, especially from the Apprenticeship, Skills and Training point of view. She was so intrigued that she returned a few weeks later to check up on more detail.
